Martyn Chalk - Founding Partner - Writer - Director
Martyn grew up in a creative family, his father being a professional photographer. He spent his early teens directing photographic shoots and wedding shoots, learning to organise people very quickly. After a successful career as a Key Account Manager at Easynet during which time he took responsibility for production of corporate videos. Following this Martyn put a team of talented people together with the sole purpose of making films, which has always been his ambition.

Simon Porritt - Partner - Head of Script Development - Writer
Simon looks after all aspects of our writing and script development. He has a wide range of media experience having worked in local radio, as well as at LWT and for the Engine Group. Simon has edited corporate, short and feature length scripts and written for several regional and local publications. He is now working on future projects and seeking out new and exciting scripts to develop.

Rob Hamilton-Day - Partner - Producer - Production Manager
Rob Has over 20 years in IT industry as Sales Manager/ Operations Manager/ Head of Broadband Operations/ General Manager. Companies: Technocom Plc, Easynet Limited, AOL Broadband.
Currently Managing Director RHD Resources Ltd. IT Consultancy.

Toby Phillips - Director Of Music
Toby started experimenting with music at a young age playing numerous instruments until finally settling on guitar and bass in his teens. After studying music technology at school and college, he went on to study at the Academy of Contemporary Music where he discovered his real passion for producing and performing music. This spawned a 10 year span of relentless performing, writing and recording. Now, looking towards new challenges, he is proud to be a part of ChalkStar Films and the opportunities it will bring.

Tom Dixon - Chief Editor - Animator
Tom graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2007 with a 2:1 BSc Hons Sound Technology & Digital Music. His project involved creating 3D characters and animating them in a short sketch based on a popular comic strip for which he achieved a distinction. Since joining ChalkStar Films he has edited several short sketches using Final Cut Pro, and is responsible for creating many of the bespoke camera rigs and equipment that are used.

Graham Lee - Project Manager
Graham comes from a corporate background in Project Management, he has been lucky enough to work with a broad spectrum of technologies and has a wealth of experience with multimedia, software and commercial applications. Having always had a keen interest in film, ChalkStar Films has presented him with the opportunity to combine a personal passion with his commercial experience to help develop a highly successful media business.

Ben Tunstall - Second Assistent
Ben comes from a creative background and works in the public sector as a graphic designer. He's been a passionate fan of cinema for many years. He's very keen to contribute his unique strengths to the success of ChalkStar Films.

Barrie Chalk - Co-Writer
Barrie has spent the majority of his career to date in sales, the last 18 of which have been in the retail motor trade. Artistically he is a keen amateur photographer who enjoys an observational view. His role in ChalkStar Films is largely that of a consultant creative catalyst, providing aditional creative ideas. For Barrie this is a very new and exciting challenge.
